Picture Book Critique w. Hannah Barnaby

Winner will receive a collection of three picture books by Hannah Barnaby, signed by the author, and the opportunity to submit a picture book manuscript of their own for critique. Manuscripts can be rhyming or non-rhyming, 3-5 pages in length. Hannah will provide line-by-line editorial notes and an editorial letter via email. Valued at over $300.

Hannah Barnaby is the author of the MONSTER & BOY chapter book series and several picture books, including THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT SAM, BAD GUY, and GARCIA & COLETTE GO EXPLORING. She worked as a children’s book editor, independent bookseller, and book reviewer before becoming the first children’s writer-in-residence at the Boston Public Library. Hannah has an MA in Children’s Literature from Simmons College and an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College. She has taught multiple workshops at Highlights and regional SCBWI conferences, as well as picture book and chapter book intensives at the Writing Barn and two 12x12 webinars. Hannah lives in Charlottesville, VA with her family.
