Flannery
Meet the Owner
Flannery opened Bluebird & Co in May 2022 with business partner, Chelsea, as a shared retail space to house their two businesses Bluebird Book Stop and Fancy & Nell. The result is a bustling business that cultivates community, builds captivating libraries, and curates beautiful wardrobes. Flannery became sole owner In May 2026 and continues to keep the sweet little shop with the yellow door a fixture in Crozet.
While delighting our customers with unique finds is a primary goal, our mission remains constant - to create a welcoming, community driven space that empowers individuals in every stage of their journey. And while Chelsea has moved on, her vision and passion is seen throughout the store and in everything they do.

About Chelsea
I grew up in Charleston, SC where my mom was the buyer for a high end retailer. From an early age, I understood the power of clothes and their ability to help women feel beautiful and confident.Â
I moved to Crozet after falling in love with my husband, a Waynesboro native. Upon relocating, I quickly noticed an opportunity to bring unique, stylish and accessible clothing to the community and thus Fancy & Nell was born (followed by our sweet son). I am passionate about empowering women to feel good in their skin, through every stage of their life. There is nothing better than an outfit that looks and feels great.
About Flannery
I have always been an avid reader, there’s nothing quite like getting lost in the pages of a book. As a former librarian and mother of four, I’ve spent the past fourteen years raising my children to be readers and independent bookstore lovers. Together, we’ve turned our home into our own little haven - a place to relax and savor a good book. Creating Bluebird Bookstop and Bluebird & Co. has given me the opportunity to bring that same joy into the world. I love nothing more than connecting with our loyal community and putting great books in their hands.
